What is the clubhouse address?  The address is 218 Daniels Drive Yorktown, Virginia 23690

How do I reserve the clubhouse?  Town Management maintains the reservation calendar for the Clubhouse.  Their phone number is 757-565-6200.  The reservation forms can be found on the Clubhouse page of this website.

What is in the clubhouse? There are 6 tables and 21 chairs. The kitchen has a refrigerator and microwave.  The bathrooms are through the door opposite the kitchen.  

When is trash day? Trash is picked up on Tuesday by Bay Disposal & Recycling 857-9700. This is not the county.

How can I have a bulk pick up? You may arrange for any trash removal company to pick up your bulk trash. The company who picks up our trash, Bay Disposal and Recycling, does offer bulk pick for a fee.  They can be contacted at 857-9700.   

Is there recycling?  Recycling is through York County. The following is from the county website:
We encourage York County residents to join us in our commitment to recycling and enjoy the larger container and the benefits of the “Recycling Perks” rewards that are part of our curb-side collection program.  If you would like to subscribe, change or discuss your service, please contact the Waste Management Division at 890-3780, Monday through Friday, between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., or through our online “SERVICE REQUEST SYSTEM” shown near the top of the left column at www.yorkcounty.gov/eds or http://www.yorkcounty.gov/wastemanagement.


What do I need to do if I want make a change to the outside of my house? Any changes to your house, including fences, decks, awnings, pavers, etc, must be approved by the HOA.  Email the Architechtural Review Board for requirements.

What do I do if I need to repair damage to the exterior of my house? Contact The Architectural Review Board to find out if the repairs are the responsibility of you or the HOA, and where to buy the correct siding or brick.  

 What are the pool hours?  10AM to 8PM

What are the pool rules?
1.  Any person, guest or resident must accompany and supervise their children who are 16 years or younger when such persons are using the pool or gym facilities.  Residents are responsible for the actions of their guests.
2. The pool and gym are reserved for the exclusive recreational use of residents and their guests.
3. Clubhouse doors and gym shall remain closed and locked at all times with the security system armed when exiting the building.
4. Pets are not allowed in the clubhouse, gym or pool areas with the exception for handicapped aide.
5. The pool, gym and the surrounding parameters are designated as a non-smoking areas.
6. No person with a communicable disease or infection whatsoever, is allowed in the pool.
7. Non-regulation flotation devices are not permitted in the pool area.
8. No glass containers are allowed in the pool area.
9. Running, diving, jumping and horseplay are prohibited in the pool area.
10. Bathing suits are the only acceptable attire for the pool, including babies. Diapers and cut -offs are prohibited. 
11. No alcohol is allowed in the pool and gym. 
12. No smoking is allowed in the pool and gym.

How do I use the pool/workout room? To enter the pool simply wave your FOB over the sensor box on the gate. To use the workout room, first turn off the alarm.  The alarm panel is on the right hand side as you enter the clubhouse.  Then, use your FOB to unlock the workout room.  When you leave, please turn the alarm back on.

If I lose my FOB  how do I get a new one? You can replace it for a $25 (check or money order) replacement fee through Town Management. 

What are my options for paying my HOA fees? 
Option #1 - eCheck Online Payment -Free How it works: Set up a one-time or recurring payment using eCheck.

When and how is the grass cut? The grass is cut on Thursdays (weather permitting) by James River Grounds Management.  To have your backyard cut, your gate should be unlocked and be easily opened.  Please make sure your yard should be clear of toys and pet waste. If your yard is missed, a card should be left on your door explaining why it was not mowed. If you have a problem please contact the landscape committee at riverwalktownes.[email protected]                                                                                         
 
Who is on the HOA Board? We have a 3 member elected volunteer board. Greg Cleckler is serving as President, Wayne Williams is serving as Vice-President/ Treasurer and Kate Gryn is serving as Secretary.

What committees can I volunteer with? There are four standing HOA committees you can volunteer with:

The Architectural Review Board -shall prepare and adopt for the Board of Directors approval architectural standards consistent with and supplementing to the minimum standards set forth in the Declaration.  This will include the approval or disapproval of any plans submitted to the HOA from homeowners.

Landscape Committee 
will act as a liaison between the homeowners and the landscaping company. They will report back to the Board and Property Manager any homeowner concerns.


The Nomination Committee
 shall consist of a Chairperson, who shall be a member of the Board of Directors and two more members of the HOA.  The Nomination Committee shall be appointed by the Board of Directors to serve from the close of each annual meeting of the members until the close of the following annual meeting of the members, or until their successors are duly elected.

The Social Committee 
plans social activities for the Riverwalk Townes Subdivision. They are always looking for new members.  They meet the first Thursday of the month, alternating between morning and evening meetings.  The meeting schedule follows the Holiday schedule.


What public Schools do the children attend? We live in the York County School District. The bus stop is in front of the clubhouse.

What Cable choices do we have? Cox Cable and Verizon Fios are available in our neighborhood. If you choose to use satellite, be sure to install the dish according to HOA guidelines, including an ARC request.  Please see the Architectural page to download the request form.
